Valley of the Golden River
Finland’s largest national park is one of the best for accessibility. River boats take visitors along the Lemmenjoki River stretching tens of kilometres through canyons and deep into the wilderness of the national park to admire its sights, such as the Ravadasköngäs waterfall standing at a height of ten metres. Lemmenjoki is also the locations of the famous gold prospecting grounds, and gold diggers still work there to this day. In the winter, the expansive region provides excellent routes for cross-country skiers and snowmobile riders all the way to Inari and the Levi resort.
